China, as a big country of aquatic products production, trade and consumption, has the world's largest production volume, with 9.4904 million tons of import and export of aquatic products in 2020.Guangdong has maintained the position of Chinese largest aquatic province for two consecutive years.The total aquatic product output is 8,758,100 tons, and the province’s aquaculture output is 7,466,500 tons.With an annual consumption of over 7 million tons of aquatic products, Guangdong ranks first in per capita consumption of aquatic products in China and is the world's most important distribution center for aquatic products processing trade. 

In order to implement the decision and deployment of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on “the new development paradigm with domestic circulation being the mainstay and the two circulations reinforcing each other”，the  8th Guangzhou International Fisheries & Seafood Expo is scheduled to be held at the Pavilion of China Import & Export (Canton Fair) Complex of Guangzhou on September 15-17, 2022.The exhibition will continue to combine online and offline integration, build a double-cycle system, and innovate a new mode of exhibition development.The 8th Guangzhou International Fisheries & Seafood Expo is expected to have an exhibition area of 40,000 square meters, 800 exhibitors and Online exhibition 5,000,000 person-times.
