Guizhou Fisheries Association (GFA) was established in May 2020 and registered with the approval of Guizhou Provincial Civil Affairs Department. It is a provincial, industrial and non-profit social organization voluntarily formed by enterprises, institutions, social organizations, fishery workers and related scientific research institutions engaged in fishery production, processing, sales and catering in Guizhou Province, and has the status of an independent legal person. It is the executive director unit of China Fishery Association, a member of the leading group of Guizhou Rural Industrial Revolution Ecological Fishery Development, and a core social organization to promote the development of Guizhou ecological fishery industry, and carries out its work under the guidance of Guizhou Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Guizhou Department of Water Resources.

The number of existing members of the association has exceeded 100, involving fishery production, fish product processing, breeding, fish feed processing and sales, fish medicine management, scientific research, technical services, consulting, media, catering and other fields of market players. The daily office of the association is the secretariat, which is divided into office, membership department, consulting department, finance department and other departments.

In recent years, while constantly strengthening its own construction, the association has given full play to its role as a bridge, industry self-discipline, industry service, and rights and interests maintenance, and has made full use of the functions of industry organizations and market players to promote industry self-discipline and high-quality development of the service industry.
