Scale of the exhibition
As a global leader in fisheries, China plays a pivotal role in aquaculture, processing, distribution, trade, and consumption, maintaining its position as the world's top producer of aquatic products for years. In 2024, China's total aquatic output reached 73.5759 million metric tons, with its fisheries economy sustaining steady growth and remarkable progress in high-quality development.
Guangdong Province, a benchmark region for China's fisheries sector, is widely recognized as a core hub with the adage "The world looks to China for fisheries; China looks to Guangdong." In 2024, Guangdong's total aquatic output hit 9.6637 million metric tons, marking the fastest growth in a decade. Its mariculture finfish output accounts for nearly half of China's total, delivering substantial achievements in building a robust "Blue Granary."
To fully align with national strategies for modern fisheries development, implement the guidelines on high-quality agricultural development outlined in the Central Government Document No. 1, strengthen industrial collaboration and international cooperation, and facilitate the development of a dual circulation paradigm integrating domestic and global markets, the 12th Guangzhou International Fisheries & Seafood Expo is set to open grandly at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou from September 10 to 12, 2026.
Upholding its core vision of "Gather in Guangzhou, Connect to the World," the expo will span 50,000 square meters, bringing together over 650 exhibitors from home and abroad. It is expected to draw buyers from 80 countries and regions, along with more than 150 professional purchasing groups, welcoming over 45,000 on-site visitors. The combined online and offline traffic is projected to exceed 300 million, enabling exhibitors to precisely expand their B2B and B2C clientele.
As the global bellwether for the aquatic products industry, the Guangzhou Fisheries Expo stands unrivaled. We sincerely invite industry elites worldwide to join this grand event, join hands to expand the global aquatic trade market, and co-create a brilliant future for the global fisheries sector.
